Kirson Johnson, a pioneer of the county, died at his home in Jackson Twp. Clinton Co Saturday night, his death following a lingering illness. He was b. Oct 31, 1839 in Montgomery Co, and was a son of Andrew Johnson who came from the So. the family being related to ex-Pres. Andrew Johnson. He came to this co. in 1882 and was a farmer. He was mar. Jan 31, 1855 to Emmaline SIMS who with 7 children survive him.

The children are as follows: John W of Antioch; Thomas T of Kirklin; Charles E of Thorntown and Milton M of Kirklin; Mrs. Evangeline Reagan of Frankfort; Mrs. Ellen PatricKnights of Pythiasickard and Mrs. Ada Cast of Sheridan. He is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Samuel of Linden; Laben of Rockville; Alexander of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Jane Sims of Linden; Mrs. Elizabeth Mahan, Mrs. Emma Hughes and Miss Matilda Johnson of Crawfordsville. The deceased was a member of the Sugar Creek Presby. church and was a man highly respected. The funeral was held at 1 o'clock Monday at the home with interment at the Buntin Cem
